Savings Accounts
Share Account
Your share savings account establishes your membership and ownership with Meadowland Credit Union. To become a member/owner, you simply need to open a savings account and deposit a minimum of $5. Dividends are earned when you have a minimum balance of $100 or more in your account. The dividends are calculated by multiplying the ending balance for the day by the daily dividend rate and are paid on the last day of each calendar quarter.
Falcon Saver Account
Meadowland Credit Union wants to reward children for starting good savings habits. A Falcon Saver savings account can be set up for any child under 12. All you need is $5 to open the account and interest is accrued with $5 and above. Encourage healthy habits with fun rewards. Earn punches on your punch card for every $5 deposit. When your card is full, redeem for a number of fun items or a spin on the wheel at MCU.
Holiday Club
A Holiday club account lets you save for the holiday spending in advance. You can even arrange to have the money deducted directly from your paycheck and deposited into your account. At the beginning of October, the funds you have saved throughout the year will be automatically transferred into your Share savings account. Once the funds are distributed, you can transfer funds to your MCU checking account for easy access.
Vacation Club
A Vacation club account lets you save for the special vacation you worked so hard for in advance. You can easily have the money deducted directly from your paycheck and deposited into your account. At the beginning of May, the funds you have saved throughout the year will be automatically transferred into your savings account for your convenience.
Money Market
A money market account is an excellent way to put your emergency reserves, save for a major purchase, or just save your money you plan on invest later. Like every account here at MCU, our money market account is insured up to $250,000 by the NCUA. MCU has two different tiers to help earn more interest.
